ECCC pre-publishes certain modules for the Fuel Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Model for purpose of gathering stakeholder feedback

ECCC pre-published a module for the Fuel Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Model for the following topic, for the purpose of gathering stakeholder feedback:
• Updated carbon intensities for yellow grease and new raw used cooking oil processes
• Updated carbon intensity for the Brazilian grid electricity process and new carbon intensities for Argentinian and Mexican grid electricity processes
• Updated carbon intensities for certain crops and oil from oilseed processes

Note that these pre-published modules cannot be used for compliance with the CFR. Stakeholders must continue to use the Fuel LCA Model Database published in January 2023.
Comments are open till April 19, 2024. Any comments received after that point may not be considered. The next formal publication is scheduled for end of June 2024.
