Solar Energy Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs)

Atlantic City Electric Company (ACE), Jersey Central Power & Light Company (JCP&L), Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), and Rockland Electric Company (RECO) announced that they will conduct an auction for Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The auction will facilitate the sale of New Jersey SRECs to qualified market participants. Entities interested in participating must complete and submit the required qualification forms no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Prevailing Time (EPT) on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

The auction will offer between approximately 28,000 and 37,000 SRECs with a 2026 vintage. These SRECs correspond to solar electricity generation recorded in the Generation Attribute Tracking System (GATS) during the period from June 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026. The final volume available for sale will depend on verified generation data and eligibility determinations made prior to the auction.

Bid assurance collateral will not be required for this auction. Interested bidders must qualify by completing the online qualification form available through the designated application portal. Returning bidders will receive reminders containing their existing login credentials from the Auction Manager, while new bidders must first request account access by completing a Qualification Registration Form before submitting the qualification materials.

Auction-related documentation has been made publicly available on the website. This includes the SREC Auction Manual, the Master Solar Renewable Energy Certificates Agreement, and the Addendum to the SREC Auction Manual. These documents outline the auction structure, bidding rules, settlement procedures, and contractual terms governing SREC transactions. Participants are advised to review all posted materials prior to qualification and participation in the auction.
