The voluntary Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) market has been growing rapidly in recent years as more individuals and organizations seek to support renewable energy development and reduce their carbon footprint.
Voluntary Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) are tradable certificates that represent the environmental attributes of renewable energy generation. They are created when renewable energy is generated and added to the grid.
Voluntary RECs are different from compliance RECs, which are created to meet regulatory or legal requirements. Voluntary RECs, on the other hand, are created voluntarily by renewable energy generators and purchased by businesses, organizations, or individuals to offset their carbon footprint.
Join us as we demystify the VREC market and see who is producing them and who is using them? We will size the VREC market: how it has evolved and where it could reach.
