Harvest & Capture: Incentive Opportunities for Ethanol Production with CCS
Thursday, 11th July 2024
10:00 am PT

In this webinar, we’ll explore a novel framework to assess the viability of integrating ethanol production with carbon capture and storage (CCS) in the US. Additionally, we’ll explore and estimate various diverse incentives available for coupling ethanol production with CCS.

Our approach examines various complexities within the ethanol-CCS value chain by analyzing multiple operating units, locations, and lifecycle carbon emissions. We’ll discuss how this framework enables you to evaluate cost-effective source-sink relationships, seize carbon flow aggregation opportunities, and analyze the impact of factors like capacity utilization and carbon capture efficiency on revenue and margin generation, all while keeping an eye on the incentive landscape.

We will be joined for this discussion with Eric Leigh:

Eric Leigh is an Operating Partner with Cresta Fund Management. He brings nearly two decades of experience in energy, across commodity trading and commercial midstream to our presentation. Prior to joining Cresta, Mr. Leigh helped lead business development and carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) origination activities for Navigator CO2 Ventures and drove the firm’s strategy for environmental attributes as the Executive Director, Carbon Supply & Markets.
